(NED) Future Islands is een onafhankelijk kennisplatform dat partijen verbindt en activeert. De initiatiefnemers van Future Islands willen een bijdrage leveren aan het verduurzamen van de Caraïbische eilanden. Deze bijdrage krijgt vorm door het ontwikkelen en delen van kennis over thema's rondom duurzaamheidsvraagstukken. Het publiceren van kennis en het organiseren van evenementen om mensen en organisaties met elkaar te verbinden leidt tot bewustwording en tot een constructieve activatie om duurzaamheid te bevorderen.
Het kennisplatform Future Islands is een initiatief van de Stichting Sustainable Dutch Caribbean. Vanuit hun passie voor duurzaamheid en innovaties voorzien partners en experts (Guides) het kennisplatform Future Islands van waardevolle content. Daarnaast worden bijdragen geschreven door auteurs van de zes Caribische eilanden en auteurs uit Nederland.

(ENG) Future Islands is an independent knowledge platform that aims to connect and engage. The project’s founders want to contribute to making the islands of the Caribbean Netherlands more sustainable. They want to do so by developing and sharing knowledge regarding topics related to sustainability. The publication of information and the organization of events with the aim of connecting people and organizations will lead to more awareness and more engagement when it comes to encouraging sustainable practices.
The Future Islands knowledge platform is an initiative of the Sustainable Dutch Caribbean Foundation. Through passionate partners and experts (Future Guides), the Future Islands knowledge platform provides dedicated content about sustainability and innovation. On top of that, the platform features regular contributions by authors from the European Netherlands and the six islands in the Caribbean Netherlands.
